The longest-running television show at noontime in the Philippines has been Eat Bulaga since years ago. It is produced by TAPE, which stands for Television and Production Exponents Inc. however it is aired on GMA-7. The show is composed of the popular “Tito, Vic and Joey” as main hosts in the persons of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon. From June 1979 1989, the show started to air in RPN. It was during this time that Romy Jalosjos, the owner of Production Specialists Inc., thought of a great idea to compete with Student Canteen – another noontime variety show at the time. The show got its name from de Leon’s idea of combining the world “Eat” because the show is going to be aired at lunchtime and “Bulaga” that means surprise in English. The title represents their goal of filling the show with fabulous surprises. Currently, the show’s host is now composed by Jimmy Santos, Allan K., Anjo Yllana, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Michael V., Ryan Agoncillio, Sam YG, Ruby Rodriguez, Toni Rose Gayda, Pia Guanio, Pauleen Luna, Isabelle Daza and Solenn Heussaff along with the long-time popular trip Tito, Vic and Joey. The show is where the success of two groups of dancers namely Sexbomb Dancers and EB Babes started. There are various segments included in the show including: PNV: Pambato ng Videoke, Kaliwa o Kanan?, Hakot All You Can, Mr. Pogi, Pinoy Henyo, Juan for All, All for Juan, Bulagaan, Bayanihan of d’ Pipol and the popular EB Concert Stage.
